A Renewable Source of Innovation

Waste Water Volume Reduction (Evaporation) :: The Trilogy ZAP is a water reduction system placed at the well head and engineered to evaporate produced / frac water as a method of reducing trucking costs associated with transporting this waste water to evaporation ponds, disposal wells, etc.

The ZAP Unit is site-customized -- capable of processingTrilogy ZAP from 750 bbl/day to 100,000 bbl/day. Waste heat is introduced into the ZAP from either a gas turbine, a turbine compressor, or a thermal oxidizer. If these sources of waste heat are unavailable, we offer the option of an internally mounted high efficiency burner. The produced water is atomized in the horizontal chamber in order to maximize contact between water and waste heat. The steam resulting from the evaporation is cooled down to dew point and then directed up the stack. The steam leaving the stack is relatively dry and is low in TDS. The produced / frac water is cycled through evaporation until it reaches a TDS content of 300,000 mg/l and is removed from reaction and discharged as waste brine.

  • Volume Reduction (Evaporation) of High TDS produced water from several sources in close proximity
  • The most cost efficient solution on the market to evaporate waste water
  • May be operated utilizing waste heat of alternate sources or internal burners
  • May be configured with a thermal oxidizer to remove up to 99% of VOCs and pollutants
  • Concentrates waste water brine to TDS of 300,000 ppm while releasing low temperature steam containing TDS of 300 ppm
  • Reduces the need for trucking, disposal ponds or injection wells
