Purestream Technology Demonstrates "The Tracker", A Wellhead Kiosk System

Automated and Unmanned Data-Processing System For Wellheads

New Technology Developed To Solve Oil, Gas On-site Air Emissions and Waste Water Challenges

purestreamOil and gas producers can reportedly “greatly reduce the impact of oil and gas waste on the environment” with newly developed Trilogy System technology.

Developed in collaboration with Utah State University’s Research Foundation Energy Dynamics Lab researchers, Trilogy allows oil and gas producers an “on-site solution for air emissions and waste water.” It offers an economic incentive to producers as it also reduces environmental impact.

The system comprises zero air shed potential (ZAP) waste water disposal, air emissions scrubbing and evaporation, plus combined heat and power generation. These features turn waste heat into reusable power.

On-site Trilogy restores oil and gas production waste water to better than drinking water standards: 268 ppm v. 350 ppm. It also reduces VOCs by 99% and provides HEPA-quality air filtration.

This company has also engineered a process to convert recycled power into a clean, commercial viable product. The power can be loaded into a power grid for sale on the wholesale market, or used to power various initiatives, notes the developer.

Vital Vu remote data-tracking feature is also available to remotely measure water, oil, and condensate levels at the wellhead or pad location.

Trilogy System Cleans and Powers-Up Well Heads

Purestream Technology, in collaboration with researchers from Utah State University’s Research Foundation Energy Dynamics Lab (EDL), has developed new technology that allows oil and gas producers an onsite solution for air emissions and wastewater.

“The strategic partnership that EDL has entered into with Purestream Technology has already made significant progress in creating the world’s first comprehensive and environmentally responsible oil and gas well head solution – the Trilogy System,” said Douglas K. Lemon, Ph.D., director of EDL. “[The Foundation] is recognized throughout the world as a leader in thermal management technologies for space-based and terrestrial applications, and we’ll use some of those technologies to help provide oil and gas well owners with an affordable way to comply with current environmental regulations and potential future legislation that will affect their industry.”

The key components of the Trilogy system are Zero Air Shed Potential (ZAP), scrubbing and evaporation, and combined heat and power generation.

Chris Jahn, who has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and is an inventor of produced water systems, says, “The Trilogy System, developed by Purestream, is one of those rare oil and gas technologies that improves process efficiency, increases profitability and benefits our global environment – all in one state-of-the-art system.”

According to the company, the system offers an onsite solution, restoring oil or gas production wastewater to better than drinking water standards (268 ppm v. 350 ppm), reducing volatile organic compounds by 99 percent and providing HEPA quality air filtration.

The company also engineered a process to convert recycled power into a clean, commercially viable product. The power can be loaded onto a power grid for sale on the wholesale market, or it can be used to power various environmentally conscious initiatives or activities.

Purestream Technology’s Trilogy System is the Answer to Increasing Environmental Regulations and Legislation

All levels of government are actively concerned about protecting our environment from harm, including the harm from waste produced in gas and oil production: Purestream Technology is actively engaged in delivering the solutions to gas and oil environmental dilemmas. Government agencies everywhere continue to increase their concerns, their scrutiny, and their future expectations of stricter standards, regulations, and legislation for protecting the environment. They have been attempting to mandate reduced environmental gas and oilfield pollution—in the absence of inventions and technology that could accomplish it. Until now, the mainstream alternatives designed to address the environmental issues of gas and oil production have been ineffective, inefficient, destructive, and cost prohibitive.

In the face of the evidence that gas and oil production is harming the environment through air contamination and produced wastewater, and in the face of not yet having the technology to affordably stop the contamination, many jurisdictions (such as the Interior Department and various states) have been setting stricter limits on gas and oil exploration. The Obama Administration is moving towards passing legislation that will disallow any current environmentally destructive oil and gas production methods and will promote technologies and facilities that can produce gas and oil without harming our environment.

Purestream Technology has voluntarily and proactively created solutions to the old and often ineffective technologies. Purestream, in collaboration with Energy Dynamics Lab (EDL) and Utah State University’s Research Foundation (USURF), started their quest for the answers by researching all existing gas and oilfield technologies over the globe. They found that, at the time, there did not exist viable, economical, sustainable, and environmentally friendly solutions, so they set about to create them. They first figured out what did and did not work with the existing technologies, and then spent years in developing the Trilogy System. The fourth version of Trilogy is now in a state of worldwide deployment.

The Trilogy System is a state-of-the-art wellhead solution that addresses air-emissions, waste water, and combined heat and power. The Trilogy System’s air-emissions unit effectively destroys and removes 99% of air pollutants and gives Hepa-quality air filtration. Its patented wastewater disposal process removes contaminates in waste water until the water is purer than natural drinking water. This allows the water to be put to some beneficial use, such as irrigation, or put harmlessly back into the ecosystem. The Trilogy System also has a revolutionary combined heat and power system (CHP) that reclaims waste heat, reuses it in water disposal and air emissions processes, and converts it into clean, recycled power that can be loaded onto a local power grid for commercial consumption.

As an environmentally safe and economically viable solution, Purestream Technology’s Trilogy System is gaining considerable recognition and support from local and national politicians who are dedicated to protecting the environment.

Green Solution for Oil and Gas Waste: Innovative Technology Capable Of Generating Reusable Power

TRILOGY OFFERS ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE, COST-EFFECTIVE WASTE PRODUCT SOLUTION.

Purestream Technology has developed a new technology which allows gas and oil producers an on-site, environmentally safe solution for air emissions and waste water. The groundbreaking technology, called the Trilogy system, was developed in collaboration with researchers from Utah State University’s Research Foundation (USURF) Energy Dynamics Lab (EDL). The Trilogy system is a wellhead solution for the oil and gas industry that provides an economic incentive to producers that also greatly reduces the impact of oil and gas waste on the environment.

“The strategic partnership that EDL has entered into with Purestream Technology has already made significant progress in creating the world’s first comprehensive and environmentally responsible oil and gas well head solution – the Trilogy System,” said Dr. Douglas K. Lemon, Director, Energy Dynamics Laboratory. “USURF is recognized throughout the world as a leader in thermal management technologies for space-based and terrestrial applications and we’ll use some of those technologies to help provide oil and gas well owners with an affordable way to comply with current environmental regulations and potential future legislation that will affect their industry.”

The three key components of the Trilogy system are:

  1. Air Emissions - ZAP (Zero Air Shed Potential)
  2. Produced Waste Water Scrubbing and Evaporation
  3. Combined Heat and Power Generation

The combination of the key components makes the Trilogy system truly unique in the industry. Chris Jahn, who is an inventor of produced water systems and an oil and gas industry expert with more than 40 years of experience, remarked on the innovative Trilogy system. Jahn stated, “The Trilogy System, developed by Purestream, is one of those rare oil and gas technologies that improves process efficiency, increases profitability and benefits our global environment – all in one state-of-the-art system.”

Purestream Technology’s wellhead solution provides an answer for producers in the oil and gas industry who are pressured to meet the constantly changing state and federal guidelines regarding waste water and air emissions. The onsite solution provided by the Trilogy system effectively restores oil or gas production waste water to better than drinking water standards (268ppm v. 350ppm), reducing VOCs by 99% and providing Hepa quality air filtration.

Additionally, Purestream’s engineered Triology system allows recycled power to be converted into a clean and commercially viable product. The power can be loaded onto a power grid for sale on the wholesale market, or it can be utilized to power various environmentally conscious initiatives or activities.
